For 60 years, Hydrostroy has continued the good traditions in Bulgarian construction. Today the company applies the highest European standards for quality and environmental protection. The company has implemented an integrated system for quality management, environment, health and safety at work and road safety, according to the requirements of BDS and international standards EN ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 45001: 2018, EN ISO 14001: 2015, BDS ISO 39001: 2014. Hydrostroy AD is a member of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber. The company is entered in the Central Professional Register of Builders for constructions of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth groups. He has a license for public transport of goods, a permit from the Ministry of Environment and Water for collection, transportation, temporary storage and recovery of waste. The company has an accredited construction and road laboratory. In the context of its vision for sustainability and innovation, the company constantly invests in the development of its human capital, implements modern technical solutions and successful production practices, and supports the development of the regions in which it operates. Observance of high production and ethical standards imposes “Hydrostroy” as an authoritative factor in the construction industry in Bulgaria.

Highlights

The activity of Hydrostroy AD practically covers all important spheres of economic life. The company implements key infrastructure projects and has a significant market share, both regionally and nationally. For the last 5 years it has been among the first companies in the construction industry in terms of revenue. On the territory of Varna and Dobrich region the market share of the company for new construction of transport and public works infrastructure and hydrotechnical sites is over 50%. Such is the market share with regard to the activities for maintenance of the roads of the Republican Road network on the territory of the two districts. The resource and staffing of the company allow the implementation of a large part of the infrastructure projects on the territory of the municipalities within the Varna and Dobrich regions.

History

The company exists from September 1962. It was founded by the General Directorate of Water Management at the Council of Ministers under the name Vodstroy – Varna. In 1970, it was renamed to SU Water Construction, only to get its current name (Hydrostroy) four years later.

Reforms in Bulgarian economy during the 90’s, mass privatization, the development of private ownership and entrepreneurship all have led to changes in the company’s capital structure and its management.

In 2007, Hydrostroy LTD celebrated its 45th anniversary. The occasion was marked by the official opening of the company’s new administrative building in Varna. At the event, Hydrostroy AD was awarded another performance label – a plaque from the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works and a honorary diploma from the District Governor of Varna for outstanding contributions to the economic development of the city.

Hydrostroy LTD opened representative offices in Sofia and Burgas. The expansion of its activity is the result of a number of projects implemented throughout the country and abroad. The company creates new specialized jobs and establishes its position as a socially responsible employer.

The company acquired Vodstroy 98 LTD – the newest member of the company’s corporate family. Among the significant projects realized in 2016 is the reconstruction and overhaul of the Congress Hall of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, awarded first prize in the competition “Building of the Year”.

Hydrostroy LTD moved its corporate office in Varna to the reconstructed and renovated MALL VARNA. In addition to the well-designed volumes, the high standard is also achieved with quality modern materials used to build the mall. In the same year starts the biggest project in the last decade in Varna – the reconstruction of Vasil Levski Blvd.

Hydrostroy LTD started a number of projects, related to the transport infrastructure, including technical design and Construction (Engineering) for Project: Hemus Highway and reconstruction of Saborni Blvd. – Varna. The company completed projects: Design and Construction of Labyrinth Residential Complex – Varna and Reconstruction of RIU Astoria Hotel – Golden Sands Resort

Hydrostroy LTD completed the construction of the Hemus Motorway six months ahead of schedule. The company successfully completed one of the most significant projects in the transport infrastructure of Varna – Construction of Vasil Levski Blvd.

Hydrostroy LTD completed a number of transport and infrastructure projects, including Bypass Road of Gabrovo – part of the Trans-European Transport Corridor, WWTP reconstruction – Golden Sands Resort, WWTP Construction of Vidin, construction of a multifunctional sports complex in Varna and rehabilitation on the main road Kranevo – Burgas.
